We at Sunset Creek Development seek out attractive locations to develop that will ultimately yield great building projects. We then choose the projects and design types that best reflect those sites – for example, our Sunset Creek site that features great river and salt marsh views and shingle-style Guilford Cottages. Our site, at the Town Green on Whitfield Street, features several classic federal designs to blend in with the historic nature of the village.

1100 Boston Post Road was our first venture into the commercial realm with a combination residential and office project. Our Mill Creek subdivision featured both single family homes with historical replication designs, and an 8-unit condominium project that required the total rehab of the historic Guilford Mill and accessory building. One recent project was the removal of the old Benton Market on Union Street and its conversion into 2 upper scale homes.

We are continually looking for good sites and interesting and challenging projects. We do not build big boxes. Please know that all of our homes are designed to have an enduring quality and will be appreciated for their aesthetics many years from now. Additionally, all of our homes are built to exacting standards using 2 x 6 walls, all plywood, 30 years roof shingle, Kiln dried Fir, and custom engineered lumber. We also always use standard, quality features such as high efficiency furnaces with central air, granite countertops, central vacuum, select grade oak floors, tiled floors, security systems, and much more.

And what’s more, we actually like to work with buyers to customize their homes! We both live and are raising families in Guilford and both have extensive histories of involvement in community service. We are proud of the investments we have made both professionally and personally in this town.
